Welcome to IB English III!
Welcome to IB English Parts 1 and 3 at Harding University High School. I am excited to get to know each and every one of you as learners. My favorite part of teaching is watching my students learn and grow throughout the year. You can expect to work hard in IB English, and I know that every single one of you is up to the challenge if you put your mind to it. I graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Secondary Education. This is my 7th year teaching and my 3rd year teaching at Harding University High School. Prior to English III, I taught 6th grade Language Arts at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
IB Mission Statement:
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
